“Αι/ther/ας” the Theremin Sessions

In the "Αι/ther/ας" workshop we will experiment with the (re)discovery and expression of our creativity through the techniques of Art Therapy and Expressive Movement. Our companion on this journey will be the Theremin (Greek: αιθερόφωνο / ætheróphonο) an electronic musical instrument that is played "in the air" without being touched by the musician.

 We will transform sound and music into movement, into colors and forms.

Our purpose is to be inspired through experimentation and make a journey of exploration of ourselves and of our interaction with the world around us, using corporal expression and visual creation as a means to explore and expand our self-awareness.

Before we develop the ability to speak, our memories and feelings are recorded in our memory sensorially, through images, touch and smell. The mind during our lifetime cannot handle all the information it receives, so it compresses it into the unconscious in the form of…
